How do I know if I am on the path towards meeting my twin flame?

There can be quite a lot of confusion with regard to the prospect of meeting your twin flame. For many, it can be difficult to discern who is a twin flame, who is a soulmate, and who is a toxic doppelganger. One can also become disheartened in one’s search for one’s twin, as one may not know what to look for to know if one is getting closer to meeting one’s twin or not. I hope to shine a light on some of these issues based on my own personal experiences, as well as those of others close to me.

Personal Twin Flame Story – Preparing to Meet Your Twin Flame

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202If you’ve read about Tim and I in the about us section, you’ll know that we are a twin flame couple. Here’s a tiny bit of information about twin flames which we believe is quite accurate: “Twin flames, also called twin souls, are literally the other half of our soul. We each have only one twin, and generally after being split the two went their separate ways, incarnating over and over to gather human experience before coming back together. Each twin is a complete soul, not half a soul. It is their task to become more whole, balancing their female and male sides, and ideally become enlightened, before reuniting with their twin. This reunion is of two complete and whole beings. All other relationships through all our lives could be said to be “practice” for the twin, the ultimate relationship.” Continue reading “Personal Twin Flame Story – Preparing to Meet Your Twin Flame”

Personal Soul Retrieval Experience – Shamanism and Healing Physical Ailments

I strongly believe that shamanic healing is necessary for every individual and that it’s not enough to just see reiki masters, cranio-sacral therapists or life coaches. I hope that sharing my experience will help others open up to shamanism and to recognize the immense healing capacities of the practice.

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202When I first started learning about shamanism (at least in this life), I found myself very drawn to the practice,  knowing that it would be a very important mode of healing for me. I’ve noticed that many people, even those who are interested in other spiritual/energetic healing methods, are rather apprehensive about shamanism, believing it to involve dark magic or evil rituals. In this post, I want to share one of my personal shamanic healing experiences to bring the practice to the fore and to encourage others to try it out. There’s no devil worship and no voodoo involved. I strongly believe that shamanic healing is necessary for every individual and that it’s not enough to just see reiki masters, cranio-sacral therapists or life coaches. I hope that sharing my experience will help others open up to shamanism and to recognize the immense healing capacities of the practice. Ktunaxa Nation Council v BC 2014 BCSC 568 – Drawing Attention to Canadian Courts’ Treatment of Aboriginal Religious/Spiritual Issues

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202Since there are currently very little publications available detailing how Aboriginal religious/spiritual claims are treated by Canadian courts, I thought I would share an excerpt of a recent essay I wrote for my masters program. This excerpt details how the protection of Aboriginal spirituality in Canadian law is in a dire state and that reform is urgently needed. My essay focuses on the defence of Aboriginal sacred sites or spaces which continue to be desecrated in the name of economic development. The Shaman’s Oracle – A Glimpse into The Ancestral Realm

The Shaman’s Oracle is a very interesting and complex oracle card system that helps users learn to tap into the archetypal energies of ancestors and spirits that are normally only accessible in the shaman’s domain. It is based around the concept of shamanic journeying, a practice of using altered states of consciousness to access normally unseen realms and connect with its inhabitants to uncover information or produce healing effects in the physical world. With this in mind, this oracle set not only serves as a divination tool, but also as an introductory teaching aid to journeying. Why Cut Meat From Your Diet? An Anishinabe-Inspired Perspective

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202Many arguments have been made on both physical and spiritual bases that meat should be cut from our diets. The quintessential spiritual line of reasoning holds that consuming meat, especially store-bought non-organic meat, causes one to incur bad karma. Instead of building on this already much-elaborated proposition, I wish to build a basis for which to suggest that we should be avoiding meat centered around Aboriginal legend. Vehicles for the Divine, Part One: Fuel for the Soul

Tim1Whether or not you were raised in a Christian family, we have all heard the phrase “your body is a temple”, which originated in the biblical book of Corinthians. Regardless of your religious or spiritual background, this statement holds true, as our bodies are the vessels in which our souls are anchored during this lifetime, and as such, we should take the utmost care to provide the best possible environment for our spirits. As spiritual beings, we are not defined by our bodies and these particular vehicles will not last forever, but that does not mean that we should not take care of them and treat them well during this lifetime. In fact, the better we treat our bodies, the more our spirits will thrive in this particular incarnation. Continue reading “Vehicles for the Divine, Part One: Fuel for the Soul”

A Look At Chakra Calibration

The chakras are wheel-like energy centres within the subtle body that serve as portals between the spiritual and physical realms and connect the mind, body, and spirit when operating effectively. While there are many different minor chakras within the body, and “transpersonal” chakras that connect us to the earth, the collective, and the universal consciousness, it is widely agreed upon that there are seven major energy centres: the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras.

“My Body is a Temple”: An Introduction to the Spiritual Significance of Bodily Care

Tim1 Throughout my early life, I struggled with a number of different health issues and on many occasions I found myself staring into space and asking “Why me?” Like many others in North America, I developed a weight problem as a child that carried into my teenage years and early adulthood. Partly due to my sensitive and empathic nature, I was consecutively misdiagnosed with a slew of mental disorders which led to an adolescence of pharmaceutical numbness after my doctors decided to prescribe me different medications to combat the perceived afflictions.  In an effort to fill a void within myself, I found comfort in junk foods, cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol during this time. That period lasted until my early twenties, when I began to realize that I would end up in an early grave if I continued along that path. Common Misconceptions About Releasing

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202When first learning The Sedona Method or some other releasing technique, the ego may strongly resist releasing by putting up all sorts of barriers to protect itself.  The ego will nag the individual with all sorts of questions and concerns designed to steer him or her away from releasing. An important aspect of releasing is learning to spot the ego at work by becoming highly mindful and aware of it. Once you can identify when your ego is acting up, releasing can be a lot easier. So here are some of the most common complaints the ego may pester you about when you begin to release. Continue reading “Common Misconceptions About Releasing”
