This excerpt details how the protection of Aboriginal spirituality in Canadian law is in a dire state and that reform is urgently needed. My essay focuses on the defence of Aboriginal sacred sites or spaces which continue to be desecrated in the name of economic development. Why Cut Meat From Your Diet? An Anishinabe-Inspired Perspective

MONSTROSITY - WIN_20140617_1718202Many arguments have been made on both physical and spiritual bases that meat should be cut from our diets. The quintessential spiritual line of reasoning holds that consuming meat, especially store-bought non-organic meat, causes one to incur bad karma. Instead of building on this already much-elaborated proposition, I wish to build a basis for which to suggest that we should be avoiding meat centered around Aboriginal legend.
